I thought it might be interesting to see how much I’ve spent on the van conversion, and this is something that up until this video I didn’t even know, and I was quite surprised by the amount…

About my van build

So up front I want to say that my aim for the van build was to do it as cheaply as possible, but without sacrificing on quality. In other words, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money, but wanted to have a really nice looking van at the end of it, easy right?!

I undertook all of the work myself and was able to spend a lot of time getting it how I wanted it, albeit over the course of about a year. I’ll let you judge whether I achieved the quality I was after, but I feel very pleased with the outcome.

It’s also worth bearing in mind that I don’t live in the van, and use it as a day van – sleeping in it around 30 nights a year, so I’ve tailored the build towards my needs.

I’ve tried really hard to recall everything that went into the build, so I apologise in advance if I’ve missed anything…and the last thing to note is I’ve rounded my numbers to the nearest pound just to make it a bit easier to look at.
